With Apple iPhones taking the major share of the pie, Steve Ballmer could never wait and watch.  Microsoft and LG have joined hands to produce 10 LG Windows phones in 2009. This was unveiled just after LG's introduction of 3D interface for its high-end phones at the Mobile World Congress(MWC) 2009 in Barcelona. The number of phones is expected to climb to 26 by the end of 2012. What we can anticipate from the LG-Microsoft alliance is a user-friendly smartphone with highly interactive interface. The first phone to be released by the joint effort would be the GM730, which will feature the Windows Mobile 6.1. The phones would be having LG's  much talked about S-Class user interface.

Actually the S-Class user interface would mean loads of spreadout, tactile graphics and a intricacies of a high-end mobile phone made easy and user-friendly. With the new phone the users won't need to dig to manage or find information or utilize features. Further the S-class would become the standard for all the other LG handsets.

Let's take for instance  you need to tune radio in the S-Class phone. So what you have to do is turn on the virtual dial with your finger. For more to set a clock you could use your fingers. You'll be able o scroll through the menu flicking through a line of icons. The calendar and address book would be customized for a lot more fun than the standard Windows mobile application.

The feature packed GM730 would offer a 3-inch, 240×400 screen display. Other specifications of the GM730 would include 5-megapixel camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a GPS-enabled SMS application from Gypsii.

With the LG Microsoft alliance introducing a new kid on the block, the other popular Windows Mobile producer HTC would be looking for better inventions to handle the situation.
