Is there a method to Google’s madness?
Most internet users use one or more Google services regularly, some more frequently then others.
Google has provided services for all the important use cases of internet for typical users today.
Personally I use at least half-a-dozen of Google's services.
Google has the capability ( and algorithmic expertise) to easily correlate usage of their services and easily find details of your online activity in astounding details. Their reach can be even more.
If you are an advertiser or publisher, then Google has your financial details too.
I am not suggesting in any way that it is their motive. Their actions so far has been very good.
However I am just pointing to the possibility of misuse of enormous amount of data at Google's disposal, should it fall in wrong hands.
Even with just Google search database people are able to find astounding personal details like credit card numbers, SSN etc. Imagine what can be done with Google's data from all its services!
I am sure some government would love to get these data for some data-mining experiments.
Which brings us to the question. How can we make ourselves invisible to Google? More on it next time.
What do you think?
