Flock created quite a buzz sometime back as a potential Firefox killer. خلق قطيع لا بأس به ما الطنين يعود الى احتمال فايرفوكس القاتل. It was that illegitimate child of Firefox which wanted to kill the progenitor. وكان هذا الطفل غير الشرعي من فايرفوكس الذي اراد ان يقتل السلف. It started off with quite some promise and yet… وبدا من جدا الى حد ما وعد وبعد…

Flock is built upon Firefox / Mozilla codebase and yet it was incompatible at plugin level (last I checked) which didn’t make much sense to me. قطيع يقوم على فايرفوكس / موزيلا وcodebase ومع ذلك ، كان يتعارض في مستوى البرنامج المساعد (انا تأكدت الماضي) والتي لم تقدم لي منطقيه. Flock wanted to provide integrated blogging experience and had some strange relationship with WordPress which lead to much of it untimely popularity. ارادت ان تقدم الرعيه الى المدونات المتكامله لديه بعض الخبرة والعلاقة مع الغريب WordPress التي تؤدي الى الكثير منه المفاجءه شعبية. Flock appears to have not too many core differentiators and yet their benefits are not leveraged. قطيع لا يبدو ان له عدد كبير جدا من المفرقون الاساسية وفوائدها حتى الآن ليست الاستدانه. If that sounds corporate speak then let me clarify with one simple example. اذا كان هذا الكلام ثم الاصوات الشركات واسمحوا لي ان اوضح مثال بسيط واحد. Flock allows integrated blogging. قطيع متكاملة تتيح المدونات. However its capabilities are nowhere near even basic WordPress 1.5 admin interface. ولكن قدراتها هي بعيدة كل البعد عن ابسط 1،5 WordPress واجهة الادارة. With a offline blogging tool like Flock I expect much more. غير متصل مع المدونات أداة مثل قطيع اتوقع اكثر من ذلك بكثير. I found integration lacking at several levels. لقد وجدت تفتقر الى التكامل على عدة مستويات. Flock allows photo sharing and yet… You get the picture. قطيع يتيح تبادل الصور وبعد… لك الصورة.

Flock is an attempt at integration of diverse services and yet without the strong focus of best of breed services. قطيع في محاولة ادماج خدمات متنوعة ولكن دون التركيز الشديد من سلالة افضل من الخدمات.

Today Flock site mentions - “We’re not quite ready for prime time…”. ويذكر الموقع قطيع اليوم -- "نحن لسنا مستعدين تماما للرئيس الوقت…". That is a very accurate statement. وهذا هو بيان دقيق للغاية. I think Flock has lots of potential but it created a marketing snafu by creating a buzz before prime time which it couldn’t well sustain. واعتقد قطيع وقد وجد الكثير من الامكانات ولكنها خلقت اللخبطه التسويق عن طريق انشاء طنين قبل رئيس الحكومة الوقت الذي لا يمكن تحمله. A second coming would be much harder. ثانيا القادمة ستكون أكثر صعوبة.
