March 3rd, 2008 We now have a forum dedicated to the viewers of this blog. Please use it to discuss technical topics of interest to you, issues that you would like me to address or by others, questions you would like to be answered.

February 13th, 2008 We have opened a forum for all our products and blogs. I haven't officially announced it yet.

February 21st, 2006 I stumbled upon Simple Machines Forum, from Simple Machines, which appears to be an excellent software and competitor to phpBB forum software which I use. It supports hierarchical representation of categories unlike phpBB.

March 22nd, 2008 A new forum for 3 column widgetized Anaconda Theme is now open. It is a highly popular free WordPress theme with tons of functionality built-in and a cool look.

October 26th, 2006 I have added a forum for our popular 3 column widgetized Anaconda Theme (for WordPress blogs). Looking forward to your participation in the Anaconda forum.

July 10th, 2008 We now have our phpBB forum running on Nginx web server, a high quality and significantly better performing web server than Apache HTTPD. Soem of the challenges we faced were: We use nice permalinks in the forum so there are lots of apache httpd rewrite rules in .htaccess files which had to be converted to nginx format.

January 9th, 2008 Google dutifully provides a forum for each product / API they launch. They also graciously decided to display 3 recent articles from their forum on their highly ranked product page.

February 10th, 2007 Barack Obama, US presidential candidate, has taken a huge leap forward from his contemporaries by creating his own social networking site, in addition to maintaining his presence in YouTube and MySpace (possibly unofficial) and other places. I just registered and created a blog to test the site.

June 29th, 2007 Today, 29th June, CN aired the last episode of DragonBall Z. It will start looping again from the beginning from 2nd July.

March 22nd, 2008 Users, including forum admins, sometimes gets message while editing a post, sometimes for quick edits and sometimes for longer edits - "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again." This is not really an error but one of the two protection mechanisms in place in phpBB to protect your forum from spams.
