Latest results of Browser war from my microcosm of viewers (for the web)January 15th, 2005 In my microcosm of viewers (of this blog site) Firefox is rapidly gaining in popularity and accounts for ~24% of the market share. Mozilla & Netscape accounts for merely 6%.
Falling Microsoft Internet Explorer Market Share 2002-2007December 7th, 2007 Microsoft was the sole leading browser (all versions combined) in 2002-2003 with over 85% of market share. The earlier leader Netscape had by then sunk into oblivion.
FireFox browser is a clear winner with technologistsApril 29th, 2005 A picture speaks better then thousand words. As far as technologists are concerned Firefox browser is a clear winner by a wide margin with 49% of the market share.

I think you need to be very careful with unsupported claims about browser usage statistics. If you look at the WikiPedia “Usage Share of Web Browsers” article you’ll see that as at June 2007 most research companies have IE usage at somewhere between 70 and 80%. OneStat has it has it as high as 84% and in fact claim that Mozilla Firefox usage is still climbing.

This is very much supported by browser statistics of my web sites. As I mentioned above this is a picture from my microcosm, which may or may not agree with other sources. However I think this will align with technology oriented sites and blogs.
