The line of a text is a big headache sometimes. If you work with text based documents, you will probably know the utility of a linebreak or a word-wrap. They help you maintain an equality of the page width as the readers go through, very much getting rid of the horizontal scroll bar and makes it more readable. So, how do you word-wrap or use line break for an excel document or a word document?

If you want text to appear on multiple lines in a cell, you can format the cell so that text wraps automatically, or you can enter a manual line break.

1. Select the cells you want to format.
2. On the Format menu, click Cells, and then click the Alignment tab.
3. Under Text control, select the Wrap text check box, and then click OK.

Note   Data in the cell will wrap to fit the column width. When you change the column width, data wrapping adjusts automatically.

To start a new line of text at a specific point in a cell, click where you want to break the line, and then press ALT+ENTER.
