How To Create Software Box For Your Products?
Software products, in the past, used to come in a shiny box with the CD (or floppy) and user manuals. With the evolving times and acceptance of internet, most products today are made available online, via website or email. User manuals too come either as pdf files or in html format. However it is still a nice idea to have a creative for the product displaying a (virtual) software box.
Here is a nice tutorial which shows you how you can easily create such a software box for your product using Adobe Photoshop.
We are in the process of creating one for our Translator Pro Plugin, a software to instantly translate and make your blog available in 9 or more languages.

I’m not a fan of the “virtual software box” movement. It began during the age of spyware, virus, and adware-filled browser toolbars and system extensions. To many, it is still a distinguishing characteristic of potential malware. If you’re planning to sell your software on the physical retail market, you should design a catchy box for it, but if you’re only planning to make it available via download, then a screenshot and a catchy logo should be all that it needs.
