January 3rd, 2009 Amongst the very few irreplacable products that Microsoft Windows have come up with, Microsoft Office 2007 is one very close to it. It has so many features and standardized options that I can not think openoffice as an alternative to it.

January 12th, 2006 The US Patent and Trademark Office has declared that patents Microsoft holds on file allocation tables (FAT) are valid. Unfortunately Linux OS uses FAT file system.

April 11th, 2007 RSSOwl is a high quality cross-platform (written in java; uses swt library) RSS / Atom Feed reader which is a superior free alternative to Newzcrawler or Feedreader for linux. Fedora Core 6 provides an RPM distribution for it (doesn't work) which you can install simply by: yum install rssowl However as stated before it doesn't work.
