Help Me With Understanding My Site Stats

July 31st, 2007 I have started monitoring my site for uptime statistics at 5 minute interval. Uptime is defined as when the response time for http://blog.taragana.com is 30 seconds or less.

August 13th, 2006 Update: LinkieWinkie merely leveraged the links to create yet another blog site. Nice bait and switch, but I expected better.

April 4th, 2008 Google Analytics finally provided the long asked for feature. While daily graphs are useful, summarized weekly and monthly graphs are much better in displaying trends.

June 9th, 2008 Gadging.com is a new (free) service which allows you to share your Google Analytics statistics with the world of just for your tools or application, get it as RSS feed for displaying on your blog, compare how your site ranks with others and more. And it takes less than a minute to configure.

Well, it requires you to drill down the site analytics to get to the bottom. With the stats right before your eyes you can guess what works and find clues on what doesn't work.  No denying, Google Analytics is the ace, still there are others that would save you from making numerous edits to your templates to ensure that you cover all the pages.

June 3rd, 2005 Without much ado, I present the script. It handles http and https URL's and should work across platforms and configurations (like using htaccess for clean url's etc.).

September 28th, 2007 508903 spam comments were blocked by Angsuman's Comment Guard plugin in 253 days 21 hours 54 minutes. 99.503% of the comments received during this time were spam.

July 5th, 2005 Pheedo, Ad Publishing Network, appears to be down. The website is still up and you can login.

September 12th, 2006 Lately whenever I am checking my blog stats in PubSub, I am getting "blog.taragana.com" has not been active in the past 30 days.. blog.taragana.com has been very much active during this time.
