Google is hiring; Location Moon

July 21st, 2009 SAN FRANCISCO - Forty years after man first set foot on the moon, web pioneer Google launched what could be the ultimate guide to the earth's natural satellite. Google on Monday updated its popular mapping software Google Earth with a complete map of the moon that allows you to explore craters, historic sites and human artefacts.

July 21st, 2005 Google has now ventured into Moon Mapping. Evidently earth has become too small for Google.

September 20th, 2006 I am not talking about providing blogging software / service like Blogger. It looks like Google (at least Google India) may actually venture into blogging themselves.

November 18th, 2007 By default in Firefox you can type one or more keywords in the location bar. Firefox recognizes that it is not an URL and uses I'm Lucky search with Google search engine for version < 2; it uses Google search by name for Firefox version 2 and above.

November 3rd, 2004 I have been using Google Desktop for about a week now and it is a wonderful tool to have, except for few caveats. It works seamlessly out of box (didn't yet find out where it is storing all the indexed information) and is very useful to find information specially for people like me who loves to store information, yet don't give enough time to organize it.

January 8th, 2008 It has been several hours since Google search went down. Google services on google.com domain, including but not limited to GMail or Google Analytics, Google Adsense etc., are down too while blogsearch.google.com is up and running.

November 4th, 2005 Google has silently added an option to display referral links (with images) in your blog or web sites. If anyone referred by you earns 100$ or more then Google credits your account with 100$.

February 11th, 2009 In this age of emails, something I still appreciate about postal mails is the sender's address. The emails only carry the date and times but not the sender's address.

April 4th, 2008 The "do no evil" mantra of Google is slowly fading into oblivion as Google, like any other large corporation, plans to axe 300 jobs from newly acquired DoubleClick Inc. This is the first time that Google has made significant job cuts.

December 8th, 2008 Google Inc, the world's largest search engine on the Internet can not proclaim now that they are not disturbed by this recession which seems like a blackhole gulping every alternate employee down. The reason being the news that Google is going to lay off 10,000 people from their outsourcing department.

December 18th, 2008 Google has compiled the names of this year's mega celebrities. The popularity is anything but to leave out  because its just not another list.

August 28th, 2006 I am happy to see Pluto demoted from planet status. Pluto is not only smaller and much less massive than any other planet but it is even less than 0.2 lunar mass.

February 28th, 2005 Another feather in their search engine cap! Microsoft always claimed that it loves competition, looks like finally it got one. I wonder when Microsoft will go for purchasing Google...

January 16th, 2007 Google AdSense is known for its uncanny relevance in serving context sensitive ads. Its competitors like Yahoo Publisher Network and Kontera aren't being able to make significant inroads to AdSense / AdWords customer based primarily due to relevance, perceived or otherwise.

February 9th, 2009 Google has come a long way from being only a search engine to the most popular and efficient search engine of the world. Not only that.
