Google AdSense aplogizes for lowering revenue

March 16th, 2006 Google AdSense support team wants you to share your story as a publisher. It wants to know about your AdSense experiences - How did you learn about the product? Why was AdSense of interest to you? What features do you use? How satisfied are you with AdSense? How has the way you use AdSense changed over time? How do you make your AdSense earnings work for you? Do you use other Google products to help your business? It appears to want to know only the positive aspects of your AdSense experience.

August 29th, 2008 I had Google AdSense running on Health Care blog for a long time. What I didn't notice was that it wasn't making any revenue despite the traffic, and displaying AdSense ads.

April 8th, 2009 On a rather unceremonious way, Google has increased the Competitive link Filter for Google Adsense to 500. They haven't gone official about it as yet.

March 23rd, 2007 Strangely the most obvious means to reset Google AdSense password may not work for you. By obvious I mean the link on AdSense login page: I cannot access my account.

October 24th, 2005 Advertising from Google and its network partners sites displaying its ads accounted for most of the company's earnings. Google posted revenues of $1.578 billion for the quarter ending September 30, 2005, up 96% from the third quarter of 2004.

July 9th, 2007 It appears Google is heavily compensating for my increased traffic with significantly lower eCPM these days. It is about 60% of what it was a month or two back.

March 2nd, 2006 Nowadays I see irrelevant Google AdSense ads much more than usual and they are often pretty outrageous. Here is a glaring example (click on image for larger view): I think it is trying to over-optimize or simply running out of ads.

November 4th, 2005 Google has silently added an option to display referral links (with images) in your blog or web sites. If anyone referred by you earns 100$ or more then Google credits your account with 100$.

April 19th, 2006 Google AdSense competitive ad filter is an excellent way to provide better advertisements and deter MFA's. One of the grievances for big publishers was the small number of filters you could set per account, merely 200.

November 4th, 2007 Why in the world I am getting overseas travel insurance ads on my highly technical blog? I am not talking about an individual page where I can understand that Google Media bot haven't crawled yet. I am talking about the front page! The only time I talked about travel insurance was in July 7th.
