June 30th, 2009 Rackspace, one of the MAJOR dedicated server hosting providers of the world, went down severely for more than an hour yesterday, resulting in with many popular websites going down like eventbrite.com, Timberlake's blog, Malkin's blog and etc. As Rackspace was found quoting, We are having an issue that is affecting part of our DFW data center.

May 26th, 2007 rdiff-backup is a popular, free, open source mirroring and incremental backup system for posix based operating systems like linux & Mac OS X. It uses rysnc algorithm through librsync but it doesn't use rsync.

April 17th, 2006 WordPress.com suffered a hardware failure yesterday bringing all the hosted Wordpress sites down including famous blogs like scobelizer. The message from Matt: Once More We had a pretty bad hardware failure yesterday, and though it took longer than we liked everything was restored and has been running the past 6 hours or so just dandy.
