April 5th, 2008 TechCrunch got it from a source that Google plans to launch their BigTable, their proprietary internal database which is used for Google Search, as a web service to compete with Amazon SimpleDB Web Service. Bigtable is a distributed storage system for managing structured data that is designed to scale to a very large size: petabytes of data across thousands of commodity servers at Google.

July 21st, 2005 Google has now ventured into Moon Mapping. Evidently earth has become too small for Google.

January 22nd, 2007 I am using Google Calendar, as an experiment, for my projects. I noticed 5 things, between unprintable curses, which make it seriously dysfunctional as an usable product.

February 25th, 2009 Google, the company with more than 1 million servers, is trying to go green. To keep Google's services and tools running, it takes extensive computer infrastructure and massive amounts of electricity.

June 24th, 2006 Google is massively pushing its web browser toolbar everywhere around the world. Google has agreed to pay a "significant amount" to have Google toolbar bundled with select Adobe downloads.

March 10th, 2006 Google Inc. bought the Silicon Valley start-up Upstartle, creators of Writely , high quality internet word processing software. Writely lets users compose documents on the Web and share them with others as well as blog them.

October 9th, 2006 Google Inc. announced today that it has agreed to acquire YouTube for $1.65 billion in a stock-for-stock exchange. Both companies have approved the deal, which should officially close in the fourth quarter.

June 22nd, 2009 T-Mobile to launch second Google phone in AugustNEW YORK — T-Mobile USA's follow-up to the first "Google phone" will go on sale in early August, the carrier said Monday. The "T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google" will be a touch-screen phone and will lack the physical keyboard of the T-Mobile G1, the first phone that used Google Inc.'s Android software.
