Firefox Woes: Memory Leaking, Hanging, Incorrect Rendering etc.

July 15th, 2007 Firefox has the annoying habit of popping up an error message after 5 seconds (10 seconds for Firefox 2.x) when running Javascript code. This causes lots of irritation because a) some script genuinely need more than the default time, b) the error message pops up repeatedly after every 5-10 seconds thereby severely ruining your browsing experience and c) the strangely worded warning where Cancel is what allows you to continue responds very sluggishly and looks like hanging even on my Core 2 Duo machine.

September 3rd, 2008 The test machine runs on Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4 Ghz (x2) with 2GB RAM. I tried loading single page PHP manual (16.5 MB) on Windows Vista from our local server with 100Mbps LAN connecting it.

April 30th, 2007 I am using a Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4 GHZ x 2), one of the best processor (review) in market today, with 2GHZ of DDR 2 667 RAM (read about my dream computer setup), and yet Firefox manages to hog 97% of the CPU in no time at all. I admit that I open too many windows but its is still extreme, don't you think? So I set upon to find a solution to the CPU hogging problem and you will be surprised to know that it is really very simple.
