I realized that Firefox 1.0 download manager often completes abruptly declaring the file download as completed, even when only a portion of the file is downloaded. Firefox on my WinXP machine has a broken downloader. Firefox en mi máquina WinXP ha roto un descargador. Initiating download hangs a bit, opens the downloader, then just hangs the browser. Spent the better part of my night downloading two 800+ mb files and one of them is currently hung at 79%. i have had this problem for MONTHS and MONTHS. Still a constant problem on dial-up trying to down-load a 1 meg file attachment from gmail even with the latest program updates. I try to download from Firefox and the box comes up like it is suppose to. Trato de descargar de Firefox y el cuadro aparece como, se supone que debe. I click save to disk…then it just says that the d/l is complete instantly without even d/l anything at all. I’m using broadand and I normally have no trouble at least starting downloads of any size with firefox. Ironically, same download manager which knows before hand that the download file is of 4.6mb does not realise that at 1.4mb download its corrupted. I love firefox, but this stuff happens to me all the time! Me encanta firefox, pero eso ocurre a mí todo el tiempo! The download manager is horrible. El gestor de descargas es horrible. FIREFOX stopped at 99% after I downloaded a 1 gig file that took 12 hours, I’ve been trying to get the file for two days…. i got a similar problem on my Windowns 2000 machine. tuve un problema similar en mi máquina Windowns 2000. Firefox’s download manager always worked very well for me, even on 64Kb/s ISDN. I have installed Free Download Manager some time back but replaced it recently with FlashGet (but GetRight seems good to!). I could of swore 1 gigabyte equals 1,024 megabytes. Podría juró de 1 gigabyte equivale a 1024 megabytes.

I HAV GOT A VIRUS FOR FIREFOX, IM NOT ABLE TO OPEN IT FROM FEW DAYS…..I REALLY LUV THIS BROWSER BUT HELP ME OUT, WHENEVER I TRY TO OPEN IT PROMPTS”USE IE OR ELSE YOU DOPE”PLZ DO THE NEEDFULL…. I GOT VHA Un virus para firefox, IM no poder abrirlo de unos días… .. I luv realmente este navegador, pero me ayudan a cabo, cada vez que intente abrirlo impulsa "uso es decir, o bien usted Dope" PLZ hacer la NEEDFULL… .

Talk about frustrating. Hable acerca de frustrante. Try downloading the same file 59 different times only to have the dumb thing freeze continuously what a waste of time. Intente descargar el mismo archivo de 59 diferentes momentos sólo tienen a los mudos cosa congelar continuamente lo que es una pérdida de tiempo. I would definitely appreciate a change to FF download manager as well or find a browser that is actually decent enough to have already corrected this problem . Me gustaría definitivamente apreciar un cambio a FF como gestor de descargas o bien encontrar un navegador que es realmente digno lo suficiente como para ya han corregido este problema. I am a cable user with WOW and I have their lowest paying package. Soy un usuario de cable con WOW y he de pagar su paquete más bajo. Needless to say, even with cable this still presents a problem. Huelga decir que, aun con este cable todavía presenta un problema. SO HEY FIX THE PROBLEM ALREADY!!!!!! Hey para que arregle el problema ya !!!!!! (Please??!) (Por favor?!)

Try deleting downloads.rdf in the profile folder. Intentar eliminar downloads.rdf en la carpeta del perfil.

Went into C:\Documents and Settings\Bill\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\stkdv2o6.default and deleted DOWNLOADS.RDF and I have my DL manager back. Entró en C: \ Documents and Settings \ Bill \ Application Data \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Profiles \ stkdv2o6.default y suprimido DOWNLOADS.RDF y tengo mi DL gerente espalda.
Hope that path helps the next person with this problem. Hope camino que ayuda a la próxima persona con este problema.
