Finally a good use of Flash!

April 4th, 2005 Previously I had posted on one of the best use of Flash. Now I have seen the second best use of Flash - as a cookie creator, cookies (persistent user information stored on client machines and accessible from the web server and are often used to track client's online activity) which are hard to delete and are not amenable to normal methods of cookie deletion.

November 14th, 2005 A vulnerability has been reported in Macromedia Flash Player 7, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system. The vulnerability is caused due to missing validation of the frame type identifier that is read from a SWF file.

April 16th, 2006 The most annoying thing about web these days is the prevalence of Macromedia Flash based eye candies and advertisement. Not only they are an irritating visual distraction (in most cases), they also consume way too much CPU.

June 10th, 2008 Frankly I am tired of the Flash based image uploader. It doesn't work most of the time, when it works it is pretty unstable, frequently fails on Opera, doesn't work (for me) on Firefox in Linux even with latest Flash, doesn't work with .htaccess fix and more.

February 16th, 2009 According to the absolutely latest news, Adobe is going to introduce a new version of its Flash software that runs not only on computers but also on the latest high-end mobile phones. That means Adobe plans to bring a full PC version of its Flash video player to smartphones next year.
