Few thoughts on WordPress 1.5 Upgrade
I have upgraded this blog to WordPress 1.5. With it I am progressively redesigning this blog to simplify accessing of *content*. "Content is the King" as they say.
Along with it I have removed CAPTCHA for the time-being to experiment with other means of SPAM Control like Blacklisting, first time approval required etc. as provided by the WordPress 1.5 install.
I am also allowing registered users to post content for review. Lets see how that pans out.
As I firmly believe in spreading link-love, I will be disabling the default "nofollow" that comes with WordPress 1.5. In the meantime if you know of any plugin which does it please send me a link.
I have also experimented with better links instead of url-in-query-string approach which was the way in earlier versions of wordpress. However despite mod_rewrite being available, I couldn't make it any better than having index.php as part of the path. It is still an improvement.
