Algorithm For Hiring At TaraganaOctober 12th, 2006 It is hiring time again! Srini has devised an algorithm for hiring at Taragana which I think very appropriately describes our hiring funnel:
if (isClueless()) {
goToIBM();
} else if (runOfTheMill()) {
goToWipro();

chooseVariableNamesLikeTheLengthOfThisOne()) {
goToAccenture();

A lot of allegations have been thrown at the BPO industry. Statements like “the jobs are monotonous”, “the jobs are repetitive”, “it’s boring” etc are fairly common. Even the ex-head of a large BPO company with international operations was heard saying that BPO jobs are monotonous. Maybe that’s why he is the ex-head now.

I just wanted to say this to all the people planning to join Wipro BPO, Do not ever do this mistake. Let me tell you guys some fact, wipro hired arround 150 people in Jan 09 for one of their process in chennai both IT and non IT, all the people submitted their resignation in their respective organizations, and then 3 days before joining Wipro Told all these people they can not take them on board since the client decided not to sign the contract with Wipro. Now imagine the situation of all those people they have lost their old job and in this market they are jobless, I am one of them. after this we came to know wipro often does the same thing because they hire the experienced people for their processes even before they sing the final contract with their client. How can they do these ? people changes job for better life and this is what you will get if it is Wipro, So people decided to join wipro think again.
