I started tracking website visitors from 20th March, 2005 using BAStats Plugin.
As of 19th April 2005 total hits on my site is:

Total Sessions: 57473
Total Page Hits: 105947

There wasn't any SlashDot effect. It was mostly the regular readers of the site.
