A machine that generates music, creates better toothbrush and patentable inventions!

The idea is not new, introduce randomness in the system for better learning. However the presentation and the final results left me thinking if I am missing something.
Listen to this music generated by the machine. Personally I was not impressed. What do you think?

We know GP programs (refer to John Koza's work) which proved already proven theorems and even previously unproven ones.

We know of music generating AI programs. We know of usage of dual neural-network, one of them being used to monitor the other (like our conscoiusness). However I haven't heard about creation of harder substance than diamond or better toothbrush.

Is it old wine in a new bottle, thanks to an over-enthusiastic reporter and clever marketing, or is there something more to it than it meets the eye?

I am very interested to know your thoughts on this.
