Bug in Blogads Affecting Publishers?

November 22nd, 2005 I reported previously that Google is about to unveil a new program that lets publishers of AdSense partner Web sites sign up advertisers on their own. It is already operational and it has opted you in (if you are AdSense publisher) by default.

March 10th, 2006 I was browsing through Blogads order page (search "Simple Thoughts" to find ours) and was surprised to find the top blogs in terms of page views in BlogAds. Now BlogAds is an independent entity and it is likely that the pageviews they are reporting is pretty accurate and real users (or at least bots who also fetches associated javascripts).

November 18th, 2005 Google is launching a new feature Friday that lets publishers of AdSense partner Web sites sign up advertisers on their own. Under the new Onsite Advertiser Sign-up, marketers can create site-targeted ads and submit cost-per-impression bids on the targeted site.

January 25th, 2006 I have tried both BriteAds as well as BlogAds. Both allow advertisers to purchase ad space on your site for fixed duration.

October 19th, 2005 I have recently added BlogAds to my site on the first right navigation bar. I started getting ads.

December 12th, 2005 I was surprised (not in a pleasant way) to find MSNBC, which has rented space on my blog through BlogAds is apparently peddling porn on that space. Their ad reads "Welcome to Porn Valley" followed by "MSNBC 12.14.2005" (look on your right).

September 3rd, 2008 I don't get Google AdSense. Last year with great fanfare they announced making the text of the ad non-linkable while keeping the title and URL linkable.
