Anaconda: 3-Column WordPress Theme Sneak Preview
Update: I am happy to announce the long awaited release of Anaconda theme for WordPress 2.x (and above) blogs. Your search for a good css based three column WordPress theme is finally over. You can get it here.
Anaconda uses flexible 3 column layout which is designed entirely with CSS. The center column and left sidebar are flexible and adjusts to browser size.
We have developed a lovely free 3-column Wordpress theme for you, with fluid center column. Anaconda Theme for WordPress is a class by itself. It takes K2’s extensive functionality and makes them also available as WordPress widgets. It takes Mollio’s good looks and adapts it to WordPress environment with enhancements.
Your search for good three-column WordPress theme is finally over. No more looking for Kubrick hacked into fixed three-column layout. You can get a sneak preview at our new site for Anaconda theme.
Looking for your feedback and comments.
We plan to release it next week.

I noticed that on the archives page of the demo, that the sidebar extends further than the footer, and makes the page look broken. Not sure if it’s an image issue or not.
FF 1.5.0.6 Mac 1280×1024 resolution, if that helps.

> Are you releasing it this week?
We wouldn’t be able to release it this week as we got tied up releasing another version of Translator Pro plugin this weekend.
However I promise it will be well worth the wait. We are adding more interesting features to it before release.
We will definitely release it next week, most likely on Thursday.

[...] We will release 3 Column Anaconda Theme for WordPress 2.x blogs next week, most likely on Thursday. In the meantime we are adding few more features to it and cleaning up the website for the release, 12 more bullets (of todo items) on my list to be precise. I promise it will be worth your wait. We have worked very hard on this theme, implemented lots of useful features, fully css based, customizable to the core and yet comes with nice defaults, and it works out of the box with tons of WordPress plugins including our WordPress Translator Pro plugin, which was released last week. Great looking theme!
Will you include a fixed homepage plug-in as well a email letter subscribe module?
With those 2 items added it would make this template just perfect!

I just installed the Anaconda 3 column theme for my blog. It looks cool. Thanks Angsuman.
However I am not sure if it is search engine friendly as it uses widgets and javascripts. Please let me know your comments. Thanks

Widgets are server-side components. They have no negative effect on SERPS.
Javascript per-se doesn’t have any negative effect on SERPS. We use it for some minor visual enhancements. It works fine without Javascript enabled too, so search engines like Google have absolutely no problem in accessing it.

Hi
Again a very nice theme - excellent coding. I like the way the flexible middle only expands so far.

Nice theme…sorry for a newb question, but is there an easy way to change the color scheme?
December 8th, 2006 at 12:29 am
I’ve noticed that you have a long footer bar but when I install on localhost. I don’t see it

Another new-b. I want to lighten the color of the header but can’t find info in CSS. Can you point me in the right direction???

Awesome theme. Is there any way to only publish blurbs (summary) with links on the main page rather than entire articles?
March 14th, 2007 at 8:19 pm
Sure. It publishes summary by default.
I have intentionally kept certain articles fully on main page.
