Date pe Date: Akshays film to release after 10 years

Date pe Date: Akshays film to release after 10 yearsWhile Akshay Kumar is not counted among actors who pull his film shootings on for more than three to four months, his film, Hello India has been ongoing since 1999. The movie began filming in 1999, after which it was shelved within 15 days. The team renewed the project in 2003 and shot for it right from the beginning. Again, the film was done away with after it had finished shooting for about 30 percent. The film was taken up again in 2008 and it is almost done, but its release is still being delayed. The reason behind this is that Akshay’s recent films– Chandni Chowk to China, Tasveer 8×10 and Kambhakkt Ishq haven’t done very well. So, the producers have decided to wait until Akshay’s upcoming films, Blue and De Dana Dan release and are hits. The release date is set to the end of January 2010. However, director Shabnam Kapoor claims that this isn’t the reason behind the film’s delay and that it is being released late only because there are still four hours of shooting left where she needs to bring together the entire cast of the film.

Calling the shots: From Dancing to Directing!

Calling the shots: From Dancing to Directing! The word Choreographer was coined in the later years of cinema. Zeenat Aman finds Bollywood ka Brad Pitt!

Zeenat Aman finds Bollywood ka Brad Pitt! Now there are a few things that will send a young actor to the seventh heaven. And one of them is being complimented by none other than the glam icon Zeenat Aman herself. So, who was the lucky one? Yuvraaj, the new prince charming of Bollywood, who is being launched in Sanjay Sharma’s Dunno Y… Na Jaane Kyun as Zeenie’s son and Rituparna Sengupta’s husband. While shooting for the film, Yuvraaj went to Zeenat’s van to call her for a shot. Zeenat was getting her make-up done and when she saw Yuvraaj, she was quite thrilled and surprised. She had really nice words to say to Yuvraaj, "Oh my God, you are looking like the younger version of Brad Pitt… so handsome and fresh!" That just made Yuvraaj’s day and he couldn’t stop smiling all day. Next thing, he was seen telling the whole unit about the compliment! Not surprising; as if getting a compliment from someone as gorgeous as Zeenat is not enough, he was compared to Brad Pitt himself!

Anything is possible in life -Dev Benegal on ROAD, MOVIE

What prompted you to make Road, Movie?

One of the things I really love about India is traveling. It’s so different, beautiful, stunning and raw. From early childhood, we would go on these long drives and go to different parts of the country and when I started working in movies, I would travel with the film unit to some remote part of the country. Road, Movie just came out of those memories of my childhood, and memories of my travels in India…of wanting to escape and get out into the open and experiencing the incredible raw power and beauty that India offers. It’s really about my journey.
