Scottish rockers THE VIEW have vowed to complete a string of U.K. concerts following the death of their frontman’s mother.

Kyle Falconer is in mourning after his mum, Elizabeth, passed away earlier this month (Nov09), but the 22 year old is determined to keep busy ahead of her funeral on Monday (30Nov09).

The group is still planning to perform a scheduled show in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday (28Nov09).

Bandmember Kieren Webster says, “Whether or not we did the homecoming gig was a bit ropey (uncertain) for a while. Kyle knows if he didn’t feel up to playing, it wouldn’t have been a problem.

“There was no pressure on him. He decided to go ahead with it. He is strong and has a lot to look forward to.”

Guitarist Pete Reilly adds: “Kyle feels he will deal better with the loss of his mum by keeping busy. He’ll be fine. He is a pretty strong person but I can’t imagine what he must be going through. He needs to keep his mind active.”
