November 9th, 2009 Acclaimed actor JAMES WOODS is suing a Rhode Island hospital over allegations his late brother died after receiving negligent medical care. The Casino star lost his younger sibling Michael in 2006, when he passed away in the Kent Hospital after reportedly suffering a heart attack, aged 49.

November 4th, 2009 JERMAINE DUPRI has become embroiled in DA BRAT's legal battle with a woman who was left permanently scarred following an attack at the music producer's nightclub in 2007. Rapper Da Brat was convicted of aggravated assault and imprisoned for three years in 2008 over her attack on waitress Shayla Stevens at a Halloween party at Dupri's Studio 72 nightclub in Atlanta, Georgia the previous year (07).

October 20th, 2009 Rapper LUDACRIS' lawyers are suing the star for reportedly failing to pay his legal bills. The hitmaker, real name Chris Bridges, is at the centre of a legal battle with attorney Carlton Fields, who is suing the rap star and his foundation for $61,820 (£41,213).

September 30th, 2009 LISA MARIE PRESLEY has taken aim at the former nanny suing her for poor working conditions by revealing the child carer posted photos of her twin babies on social networking website Facebook. Christine White claims she was forced to work long hours without pay, while Presley was suffering from postpartum depression - and is suing the rocker for dismissal cash.

September 23rd, 2009 LONDON - Rapper Eminem's publisher is suing Apple over the usage of 93 songs in a downloadable format on the company's popular iTunes, claiming that the service was not authorised. Eight Mile Style LLC and a co-plaintiff, Martin Affiliated LLC, are also suing Aftermath Records, which controls the recordings in question, saying it did not have the right to make deals on digital downloads.

Jackiey Budden is seeking $150,000 (£100,000) in damages against Mirror Group Newspapers after their Sunday tabloid The People published snaps of Goody's burial just a day after her funeral in April (09).

August 9th, 2009 Pop star PRINCE is embroiled in a lawsuit after allegedly failing to collect a $300,000 (£200,000) security deposit from a house he was renting. The Purple Rain hitmaker was paying $150,000 (£100,000)-a-month to stay in a luxury property in Los Angeles and left without picking up his $300,000 security bond, according to legal papers obtained by TMZ.com.
