San Francisco- The ‘American idol’ contestant, Ramiele Malubay, took the stage on Saturday before the fight between two Asian undercard boxers began. Ramiele Malubay, rocked the audience in the MGM Grand, Las Vegas with her performance of the “Star Spangled Banner’. It was a full fledged treat for the American Idol fans who had been missing Malubay, who had left the American Idol’s seventh season after being one of the top 9 contestants.

The ‘Firepower’ fight was between Manny Pacquiano ( from Filipino) and Miguel Cotto ( from Puerto Rica), where Miguel was defeated with a ‘twelfth-round TKO’. Many celebrities were present in the arena, including, Derek Jeter, Will Ferrell, Mickey Rourke, Earvin Magic Johnson, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Mark Wahlberg and many others who were seen enjoying the fight and also the performances. Along with Malubay there was also the band ‘La Diva’ who sang the national anthem.

Ramiele Malubay had been earlier involved in a controversy due to some of her pictures which were leaked on the net by her friends itself. These pictures showed her grabbing the breasts of one of her friends while they were both wearing so-called ’suchi restro clothes’. In addition to this, there were alleged rumors, which later turned out to be real, regarding her sexy pics with her girlfriends- which could be found on her Facebook page.

After leaving American Idol, the Filipino-American singer moved to Philippines in order to further her musical career and also because she had some commitments to American Idol. Ramiele Malubay has also been nominated by ‘JC Penney Asian Excellence Awards’ as being a Favourite TV Personality.
