Brando Lands Bike Deal

October 21st, 2009 LONDON - Actress Whoopi Goldberg was recently honoured with the Marlon Brando Award at the 2009 Stella by Starlight Gala for her achievement in Hollywood. The Ghost star celebrated remembering her late friend and legendary actor after whom the award was titled.

The teen idol plays an aspiring motocross star in the film, but wasn't allowed to perform any of his own stunts, so his double saddled up for jumps and crashes - and Bleu was horrified when the stuntman mistimed one jump and had to be taken to hospital.

September 28th, 2009 Singer TONY BENNETT has landed a new $10 million (GBP6.6 million) contract with Sony-Columbia, in return for full control of the 83 year old's back catalogue and all future releases. As part of the deal, Sony executives have promised to spend $1 million (GBP667,000) on promoting every future Bennett release.

September 24th, 2009 THE FLAMING LIPS have called on fans to strip and cycle for the band's new video. Inspired by Portland, Oregon's annual World Naked Bike Ride, the promo for Watching the Planets is being shot at Mount Tabor in Oregon on Wednesday (23Sep09) - and Flaming Lips frontman Kevin Coyne called on fans to join him for the naked fun.

The singing superstar is already the face of Emporio Armani's Diamonds perfume and previously fronted the promotional campaign for a range of True Star fragrances for Tommy Hilfiger.
