MELBOURNE - Heather Mills has expressed her grief over the “sad lives” of Australian pigs before they are slaughtered.

The former wife of Sir Paul McCartney has even sent a letter of support to animal activist Jaylene Musgrave.

The charity campaigner said the plight of the animals led her heart to break and wished laws concerning factory-style pig farming be revised.

She also apparently urged Aussies to buy only free-range pork, if at all.

“My heart breaks for the sad lives most pigs in Australia endure before being slaughtered,” the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.

“If someone kept a dog in this way they would be prosecuted,” she added. (ANI)
