‘Always Sunny’ live tour adds second Philly show

LOS ANGELES — Fans of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” are so devout they’ve made the TV sitcom’s live tour a sellout and a second show has been added for Philadelphia.

The FX sitcom’s stars, including Danny DeVito, are performing a live-theater adaptation of last season’s musical finale in six cities, starting with Boston on Sept. 15.

Shows have quickly sold out and a second performance was added to the Sept. 17 Philadelphia show, a spokesman said Friday. People are going online to beg for tickets and offering hundreds of dollars above face value.

The new season of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” premieres at 10 p.m. EDT on Sept. 17.
