LONDON - Brit artist manager Simon Fuller’s celebrity management firm, 19 Entertainment, has bought a major share in the Storm fashion model agency of which supermodel Kate Moss is signed up to.

The firm, well known for creating the talent shows American Idol and Pop Idol, has purchased a 51 per cent stake in Storm Model Management.

The deal, said to be worth tens of millions of pounds, comes after more than a year of talks and brings together some of the world’s biggest celebrities across fashion, music and sport.

Storm has Lily Cole, Cindy Crawford and Eva Herzigova on its books, while 19 looks after a stable of stars ranging from David and Victoria Beckham to the singer Kelly Clarkson and the Scottish tennis star Andy Murray.

Fuller, who previously managed the Spice Girls, said that the takeover cemented 19’s move into the fashion world.

“With 19 moving more into the world of fashion and style, the opportunity to join forces with Storm and its incredible heritage and dynamic approach to the future, was irresistible,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

The sale is expected to make Sara Doukas, the founder of Storm, and her brother Simon Chambers, multi-millionaires, and they will be continuing in their current roles at the agency.

“Working with Simon Fuller and 19 will provide Storm with the opportunity to work competitively, creatively and on an international level,” Doukas added. (ANI)
