LONDON - A British tabloid has published a photograph of Michael Jackson’s deathbed, depicting the aftermath of the desperate attempts to revive him.

News of the World published the snap in the print edition, alleging the picture was taken by a family insider the day after Jackson died at his rented Los Angeles mansion.

New details of the frantic struggle to save Jackson’s life surfaced, including the scene in the star’s second-floor bedroom at the apparent time of his death.

The snap purportedly shows where Jackson’s personal doctor Dr Conrad Murray spent nearly half an hour trying to resuscitate him, first on the bed, then on the rug-covered wooden floor, after the singer was taken ill.

Los Angeles County Coroner Lieutenant Fred Corral said: “That is the scene where Michael Jackson died.”

Nothing was said to have been touched or removed from the bedroom, where Murray is speculated to have stored medical supplies.

A used ambu bag, a manual pump device used by doctors to force air through a mask and into the lungs to keep an unconscious patient alive, along with more medical equipment can reportedly be seen in the picture.

Alcohol preparation pads used for cleaning the skin before drug injections, a roll of surgical tape and a box of disposable latex gloves were also spotted.

The duvet can apparently be seen pulled to one side on the bed, and a slight dent made by dying Jackson’s head in the plumped-up pillow, up against the ornate gold-painted headboard was also seen.

A half-drunk bottle of orange, a near-full bottle of Fiji mineral water, a DVD or CD, a spectacles case were also allegedly part of the snap. (ANI)
