LONDON - U2’s forthcoming European tour dates were said to be hanging in air after the band’s equipment was withheld by Dublin locals in a fuss over the dismantling of the stage set.

Bono, Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen kicked off their first tour in three years on June 30, featuring a 360-degree platform, in which the fans will surround the stage from all sides.

The Irish rockers were slated to perform in Gothenburg, Sweden at the end of July and early August but a shadow of doubt has been thrown over the gigs after trucks carrying parts of their elaborate stage set were prevented from boarding scheduled ferries out of Ireland, reports The Daily Express.

The delay may even affect the band’s future dates during their ongoing world tour.

Tour director Craig Evans said: “It will be tight.”

Tour manager Jake Berry added: “It affects the tour schedule, read it whatever way you want.” (ANI)
