Vengamamba shooting begins May 3rd, 2009 Shooting of ‘Vengamamba’ with Meena and Saikiran in the lead roles was launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad recently. DVS Raju gave the clap, while Ramesh Prasad switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on the lead artistes.
Shooting of the talkie part of ‘Vengamamba’ with Meena playing the title role, Saikiran and Saratbabu in other key roles, under the direction of Udaybhaskar and produced by V Doraswamy Raju on the banner of VMC Productions, was completed recently. Speaking on the occasion, producer says, ‘We had erected a huge set resembling the Tirumala temple and shot some important and climax scenes, besides the climax song in it recently. There are a total of 21 songs in the film. We tried our best to explain how Vengamamba showed her respects to Lord Venkateswara by rendering songs on him. Keeravani gave melodious tunes to all the songs.’
